Dashboards
Lay out saved queries as tiles, add filters that reach every tile, and share a view by link.
A dashboard is a grid of tiles. Open Insights → Dashboards → New dashboard, then Edit to add tiles:
- a query tile, showing an existing saved query or a new one,
- a text tile, written in Markdown,
- a heading, to split the dashboard into sections.
Drag tiles to move them and drag their corner to resize them, then Save.
Filters
The filters bar across the top is made of the dashboard's variables. A filter reaches every tile whose query has a variable of the same name. In Edit mode, a tile that a filter can't change says so, so you can tell why it didn't move.
Changing a filter re-runs only the tiles it reaches. The filter values are part of the page's address, so a link opens the same view for whoever you send it to.
Refreshing
Set auto-refresh to every 5 minutes, 15 minutes or hour, or leave it off. Results are kept for 5 minutes, so ten people opening the same dashboard run each query once. On a warehouse, each refresh that runs a query is charged.
A tile's menu
Every query tile has Open query (or Open as query on the Overview) and Download CSV. Clicking a bar or a row of a built-in tile opens the details behind it.
